Students are encourage to create effective time management skills in order to complete course work to the best of their ability.

Tips:

  • Get into a routine of doing homework at a set time, ideally a little each day
  • Plan ahead by plotting out when assessments are due, you can use teh assessment schedule on the Sentral Portal to help with planning
  • Have a set place where they can do their homework, with the equipment they’ll need such as:
    • pens and pencils
    • highlighters
    • scissors
    • glue
    • scrap paper
    • ruler
    • calculator
    • printing paper
    • computer and internet access
    • a printer.
  • Turn mobiles to aeroplane mode or off so there are no disruptions
  • Encourage your child to start assignments as soon as they receive them – this will reduce stress and last minute panic
  • If your child is having difficulty with their homework, contact their class teacher for help.
