Non-local enrolment

To apply for non-local enrolment, phone the school and speak to administration regarding applying for non-local enrolment places in your child's year. 
This application form (PDF 579KB) is a requirement for all enrolments into a NSW Government school (specialist stream and general enrolment).

The school will request and review documentation to determine the suitability, interest and the capacity of the school and consider applicants based on the following criteria:

  • demonstrated capacity to meet designated criteria based on Visual Arts and Design. Applicants may be required to provide evidence of ability in Visual Arts and Design and related creative areas.
  • the capacity of the school to support the student after an appraisal of the student's needs and availability of support services at other locations
  • structure, organisation and curriculum of the school.   

Consideration of other factors could include:

  • siblings already enrolled at the school
  • compassionate circumstances of a serious nature
  • demonstrated academic performance and achievementsdemonstrated and potential for both independent and collaborative learning
  • curriculum offerings at Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design to extend the special abilities, aptitudes and interests of students.
  • demonstrated and potential contribution to the following programs such as leadership and performing arts. 

Year 6 into 7 enrolmets: If your child is currently enrolled in Year 6 in a public primary school, and you wish to apply to enrol in our school in Year 7 of the following year:

  • contact the Year 6 co-ordinator at your current school to obtain an "Expression of Interest" form to complete
  • Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design must be placed as option 1 on this form and return the form to your school's Year 6 Coordinator
  • your primary school will forward the information to us
  • we will contact you once a decision has been made about your child's potential enrolment, and next steps.

 If your child is currently enrolled in a Year 6 non-government primary school or Year 7 to 12 in another school and you wish to apply to enrol in our school: 

  • please forward an application form accompanied with a letter     
         stating reasons
  • we will contact you once a decision has been made about your  
         child's potential enrolment, and next steps.

Temporary visa or visitor visa: If your child has a temporary visa or visitor visa you will first need to apply to enrol by contact the temporary residents program who will be give you forms to bring to the school.
It's important that you tell teh principal if your child has any special circumstances, allergies, health or medical conditions, before your child starts school.
