Physical Activity and Sport Studies (PASS) is an elective course designed to extend the knowledge and skills students acquire through PDHPE.
Students will:
- gain a greater insight into how fitness can improve performance
- explore biomechanical, training and nutritional principles in relation to enhanced sporting performance
- develop a greater understanding of how to identify and manage sporting injuries
- analyse the place recreational pursuits have in our society
- maximise their movement potential through the study and participation in various physical activities
- undertake a course of study involving both theory and practical units of work.
