Secondary enrichment class

Dulwich High School of Visual Arts and Design offers a designated class in each year for student enrichment. The class provides talented students with opportunities to be extended across a range of academic subjects.

To be selected for the Secondary Enrichment Class, students need to complete an application form and attend an interview. Places are restricted to 30 students in each year and successful selection is determined on the following criteria areas:

  • academic excellence as evidenced by supporting documents, such as school reports, with broad acheivement across the curriculum and particular aptitudes in:
        - science
        - maths
        - technology
  • recommendation from current or previous school
  • demonstrated and potential for both interest and value of working in a creative community that emphasises independant and collaborative learning, project based learning and design thinking.
  • demonstrated and potential contribution to the following programs such as:
        - leadership
        - performing arts (such as band, choir, drama or dance)
        - debating
        - maths or science competitions

Year 6 into Year 7 enrolment, 2020: to apply for the Secondary Enrichment Class, please use application form (PDF 718KB).
The closing date has been extended until the end of Term 1, Thursday 9 April 2020.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions that have been put in place by the Federal & NSW State Governments, all interviews for placement at Dulwich High School of Visual Arts & Design in 2021 for Visual Arts & Design in 2021 for Visual Arts and Secondary Enrichment classes have been postponed until further notice.

Years 8 to Year 12: When there are available places in the Secondary Enrichment Class applications, information will be available here on the process.
